Capture Screenshot lite is a very small and simple utility created to let you quickly and easily take screenshots. It can capture an image of the full screen as well as of any screen area, including a rectangular window.
Basically, it's a lightweight and neat alternative to the Windows default image capturing tool (the Snipping tool). Though it’s small and simple, Capture Screenshot lite offers plenty of useful additional features and functions. For example, it can save captured screenshots to four popular image file formats: JPEG, GIF, PNG and BMP. It will also let you perform some basic editing actions with the taken screenshot right after you capture it.
Among these actions, you can erase or highlight parts of screenshots, and use a pen to underline specific areas. Unfortunately, Capture Screenshot lite doesn’t allow you to customize its hotkeys, so you can only use the Print screen key to call it, or directly click its tray icon.
The taken screenshots can not only be saved to image files, but also printed, e-mailed or copied to the clipboard and used in other applications.
To sum it all up, Capture Screenshot lite is a nice utility for quickly taking screenshots. It doesn’t impress or brings anything new in comparison with many other screenshot taking utilities on the market, but it also doesn’t disappoint and, best of all, is completely free.
